GLOBAL warming
I was watching a film and it truly moved me on the inside. I again felt this sense of frustration and utter confusion at this mass consumption on this planet. I just can't believe that all global problems fall to the fault of people who couldn't think long-term. the mentality of people to keep inventing and keep consuming and keep sucking the planet dry never ever seemed like logic to me. we think that we can use things as we please and we can continue destroying our planet and its ecosystems so that we can put more than enough food on the table that it actually becomes insanely stupid. or so that we can meet the demands that society has of us. so that we as humans can be better, not emotionally, not mentality, but humanly? i thought we used the words humanity and humane to describe things that were right? but that then leads me to the question: what is right? because over and over again...we, the humans, contradict ourselves....we are supposed to be special because of our will and decision-making abilities...because we somehow have power....but how smart and special can we truly be if we're killing the life on this planet?how truly important can we be? if money and fame are chosen above justice and life itself. how great can we be if we'd rather have a new car than our children's health. I look at the countries responsible for global warming and i feel sick. they are the ones killing the planet but increasing their industry. there they are in all their glory. not going to mean much when more than half of their population die, in 2080. its sad that these powerful countries can't even tell their citizens the truth. and us, the developing countries, we just try to keep our children alive. no. our children aren't obese. no, their starving. us little people, from whom you steal much, we still suffer the most for your mistakes. and yes, we probably have to let it be. but just admit that you are making mistakes. that what you're doing isn't just. isn't fair. and then maybe when you're mistakes catch up with you. and our animals and people become minimal lifeforms...somehow people will die knowing.
